After whipping up these breakfast recipes, you’ll be making a toast to toaster ovens. The classic cooking appliance is a quintessential kitchen utensil for anyone who’s looking for quick and effortless morning meals that are toasted to crisp and crunchy perfection. The benefits don’t end there, either. It heats up much faster than a standard oven, and it’s unbelievably easy to clean. Ready to start putting your toaster oven to good use? We’re confident that these five morning meals will have you using your toaster oven time and time again.

1. Maple-Glazed Sausages and Figs

This hearty, stick-to-your-ribs breakfast dish is filled with both sweet and savory flavors, and includes fresh figs, onions, maple syrup, chicken, sausage, and Swiss chard. Good Housekeeping’s recipe via Delish yields 4 servings.

2 tablespoons maple syrup
2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
2 packages (12 ounces each) fully cooked chicken and roasted garlic sausages
8 ripe fresh figs, each cut lengthwise in half
½ large sweet onion, chopped
1½ pounds Swiss chard, stems sliced and leaves chopped
2 teaspoons olive oil
Salt and pepper

Directions: Preheat toaster oven to 450 degrees Fahrenheit. In small bowl, stir syrup and 1 tablespoon vinegar until blended. Place sausages and figs in single layer on foil-lined toaster oven tray, and lightly brush with half of syrup mixture. Roast 8-10 minutes or until heated through and golden, turning over and brushing with remaining syrup mixture halfway through roasting.

Meanwhile, place onion in microwave-safe large bowl. Cover with vented plastic wrap and microwave on high 3 minutes. Add chard to onion; cover and microwave 9 minutes or until vegetables are tender, stirring once. Stir in oil, ¼ teaspoon salt, ¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper, and remaining 1 tablespoon vinegar. Serve chard with figs and sausages.

2. Blueberry Cornbread Muffins

Finding Radiance delivers a breakfast dish that is both delicious and nutritious. Each blueberry-packed serving contains 115 calories, 1.5 grams of fat, 2.5 grams of fiber, and 4 grams of protein. If you aren’t already working blueberries into your daily diet, it is time to start. The U.S. Highbush Blueberry Council explains that they are low in fat and sodium, have just 80 calories per cup, and are loaded with antioxidants. In addition, blueberries are a great source of vitamin C, manganese, and dietary fiber.

½ cup buttermilk
1 large egg
2 tablespoons of sugar
2 tablespoons of unsweetened applesauce
⅓ cup cornmeal
⅔ cup of whole wheat flour
2 teaspoons of baking powder
¼ teaspoon of salt
½ teaspoon cinnamon
½ cup of fresh blueberries

Directions: Spray a 6-cup muffin tin with nonstick spray. Preheat toaster oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. In a medium size bowl, mix together the flour, cornmeal, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt, and set aside. In a small bowl, whisk together the buttermilk, egg, applesauce, and sugar. Add the wet ingredients all at once to the dry ingredients. Mix until just barely combined and then fold in the blueberries. Do not overmix. Divide up into the 6 muffin cups. Pop into the toaster oven. Bake these for 20 to 25 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.

3. Toaster Oven French Toast

Use your toaster oven to prepare My Momma Told Me About’s recipe. If you’re looking for a light and sweet sauce to drizzle on your French toast, defrost a few frozen strawberries in the microwave. Feel free to add a teaspoon of sugar to your sauce if your berries are too tart.

Sliced bread
2 eggs per 2 slices of bread
½ cup milk
2 teaspoons sugar per 2 slices bread
1 teaspoon cinnamon per 2 slices of bread

Directions: Set your toaster oven on convection mode at 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Whisk together eggs, milk, and sugar and place in shallow dish for soaking. Soak your bread slices for at least 5 minutes on each side. Place your soaked bread slices on a foil-lined baking pan sized for your toaster oven. Cook your slices for 7 minutes on each side. To get the perfect finish, set your toaster oven to toast mode, on level 4, and toast each side of your toast. Add butter and berry sauce, and serve with maple syrup.

4. Baked Eggs with Marinara and Parmesan

Looking for a tasty way to start your day? We suggest whipping up eggs that are baked with marinara sauce and Parmesan cheese. Mountain Mama Cooks’ recipe is bursting with rich and creamy flavors and is perfect for mornings when you’re craving something savory. This dish yields 4 servings.

8 eggs
1 cup marinara sauce, divided
1 tablespoon capers, drained (optional), divided
¼ cup whipping cream, divided
¼ cup Parmesan cheese, divided
Salt and pepper
Chives for garnish

Directions: Butter 4 ramekins. Set your toaster oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Pour ¼ cup marinara in the base of each ramekin and top with capers if using. Crack two eggs into each ramekin. Top eggs with 1 tablespoon cream and 1 tablespoon Parmesan cheese. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Bake in toaster oven for 10 to 15 minutes until white of eggs are cooked and yolk is desired doneness. Garnish with chopped chives and serve with buttered toast.

5. Greek Frittata

Real Simple’s Greek Frittata is filled with eggs, spinach, tomatoes, scallions, and feta, creating a satisfying dish to enjoy for your morning meal. The recipe yields 4 servings.

3 tablespoons olive oil
10 large eggs
2 teaspoons kosher salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
1 (5-ounce) bag baby spinach
1 pint grape tomatoes, halved
4 scallions (white and green parts), thinly sliced
8 ounces feta, crumbled

Directions: Heat toaster oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Add the oil to a 2-quart casserole and transfer to oven for 5 minutes. Meanwhile, in a bowl, whisk together the eggs, salt, and pepper. Add the spinach, tomatoes, and scallions and combine. Gently stir in the feta. Remove casserole from oven. Pour the egg mixture into casserole. Bake until the frittata is browned around the edges and slightly puffed and a knife comes out clean, 25 to 30 minutes.
